“ This place is the real deal! I was really excited to finally try it out, and the hype is real. The Caesar salad was incredible, and my pizza was perfect. The staff was all very friendly and attentive and just seemed like really cool people. I loved sitting at the communal table and chatting with some strangers that quickly became friends. What a solid addition to the neighborhood. I will be back often! ”
“ Don’t usually write these, but want to recollect a great experience I had. Great service, great atmosphere. Went with 4 close friends and enjoyed pizza and were pleasantly surprised to see such cheap prices for drinks (3 for a Douglas!). Later, dude came out and offered us drinks for half off. We ordered another round! Loved this meal. ”
“ This place is rad. I wanted to call out how great our meal and the service were last night. We found seats at the communal window table immediately. The Derek’s Fav was A , a deliciously fishy Caesar salad - in the best way, and a really rock solid beer/wine/spritzer menu. I’d go back right now. ”
“ Derek's Fav was great, as good as a standard pepp can be and loved the addition of castelvetrano olives. Man of class. The Nduja Honey pie (sub bell pepper for jalapeno) was otherworldly and I hope this becomes a permanent menu item. This is a new favorite spot with some of the best pies I've ever had. I'm typically a NY style guy but Derek's is sharing the #1 spot and now more than ever, I'm a Detroit style guy too. Some minor feedback, topping distribution could be a little better to ensure everything is on each slice and roughly even. Service could've checked in a little earlier after receiving food and drinks to see if we wanted another round, which might benefit their own profits and churn. Again, hardly a gripe for either and no less a 5/5 spot. They're just getting started and I can't wait to see where they go, I'll definitely be back pretty frequently. ”
“ Highly anticipated and it delivered. Every element of this pizza was excellent. I could've used a bit more sauce but for my husband thought it was just perfect so if you are a sauce lover maybe get some extra on the side. Because it's excellent. Service was excellent, especially for how packed it was. Great wine too. ”
“ This place is amazing. We ordered a a couple of pizzas online for pick up to hedge against a long line. We ordered a third pizza once we arrived and they graciously combined the orders. The staff was very communicative while hustling during a busy Thursday dinner rush. We were offered water several times and wait staff checked on our order multiple times. The pizzas were some of the best we have tasted ever and definitely a top Seattle choice. The White Lotus was brimming with mushroom and leek aroma and taste. The crust stood up to the topping without overpowering them. We also had the Derek’s Fav, the sauce was well seasoned with layered flavors (the quality of ingredients was prominent) and the pepperoni and olive oil toppings were flavor bombs that made each bite special. Finally we had the Vodka Pepperoni and its sauce was amazing but completely different than the Derek’s Fav. I am not much for standing in line or waiting extended periods for food but these pizzas would be an exception. The combination of ordering online and getting there early kept oof wait manageable. If you enjoy quality pizza and great service you should definitely go here!! ”
“ We finally checked out My Friend Derek’s after hearing great things, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We tried a kale Caesar salad and the plain pizza and were impressed with both. The texture of the pizza crust is amazing; you expect the thick slices of pizza to be heavy, but they’re light and airy. Service was very friendly and welcoming; we will definitely be back! ”
“ Grabbed a Pizza Helper John and a special (nduja, honey, garlic, bell peppers) and one of each salad - and they were all amazing. Got there exactly at 4 on a Friday and there was already people sitting inside and the wait for our to-go order was 40 minutes (the wait for done in was shorter). We grabbed a drink and waited inside. The space is cozy and there's plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather gets nicer. I love that these pizzas aren't too heavy and the goldfish crackers for the croutons on the Caeser were a nice touch. Each regular is cut into 6 pieces so figure out if you want a corner piece or an inside piece! If you get a to go order, remember to check in after your estimated time because they don't yell out names once they're available. ”
